20th March 2018

We had a great time in Herefordshire for our recital for the Concerts for Craswall charity.

We received a number of positive reviews from our concert:

"The virtuosity of the violinist Sophie Hinson and cellist Hattie Butterworth in their challenging Ravel duo was matched by pianist, Songeun Choi's assured playing in the Rachmaninov trio with its many references to Tchaikovsky's first Piano Concerto. The musicians produced many beautifully lyrical and delicate moments in Schubert's delightful Trio in B-flat. In the final trio, a recently reconstructed work by Debussy, the Odora's clear performance again revealed flashes of the style of his later orchestral compositions."

"Everyone around me, enjoyed the concert enormously. An interesting programme with challenges, beautifully played by such young and lively artists exuding enjoyment and appreciation of the admiring audience!"

"All the people that I have spoken to were enthusiastic about the concert and enjoyed the varied programme - also comments about the high standard of the youthful musicians."

"It was really one of the most enjoyable Craswell concerts we have been to, and the programme was fantastic. One gorgeous staple of the chamber music repertoire, followed by three pieces new to me. I was surprised how interesting and stimulating the Ravel was, and the Debussy ending was a moving close to their performance, beautifully played."
